Research IN Motion seems to be pushing out a few upgrades in 2009, the BlackBerry Onyx, BlackBerry Storm 2, BlackBerry Essex and BlackBerry “Striker” 9100 are all expected to hit store shelves before 2010 hits.

So with this in mind, blackberrycool has takes a look into each of these four expected BlackBerry smartphones, and gives their views on each handset being an upgrade to devices we’ve already seen this year.

The one to note of course in the BlackBerry “Striker” 9100, which nothing is really known about other than it will be an update to the BlackBerry Pearl, although they say that upgrade won’t offer too much in performance or form factor.
